About Me

I have wanted to be a writer for as long as I can remember.
When I was about five or six years old, I decided the world needed more Little Bear stories, the ones by Elsa Holmelunch Minarik and Maurice Sendak. So I wrote and illustrated my own stories. When I showed them to my father, who was a college professor, he explained the word 'plagarism' to me. Needless to say, it was a long, long time before I showed my father my writing again. When I was in high school, I wrote poetry, some of which was really, REALLY bad but made me feel better.
When I am not reading or writing I am doing something with yarn. I have done needlepoint and had a 36" loom for weaving for years. Now I knit.
